My Story
I grew up between two cultures. The Dutch and the Moluccan culture. That is my origin. That is my story. An important story that has shaped who I am. For me, from that world of that origin, there is never just one applicable law, or one applicable culture. For me, diversity and difference is a richness. A fertile field. A source of stories. I grew up among cows and horses, among rice steamers and wajang dolls. Between faith and superstition. For me, it is natural that both sides always participate.
I was fortunate to get into the business of Radio and Television at a fairly young age. I worked at Veronica for many years where one night I was in the Countdown studio and the next day on the beach for the Veronica beach race - between roaring motorcycles.
I was allowed to shape and lead the youth department Club Veronica which eventually got its own radio show and television program. And also a magazine. An education and experience from which I still derive the benefits today. I was given the opportunity to travel. The travels I dreamed of as a child and even then thought if I do get to do this for work, I am blessed.
After some wandering, I finally started Media Luna for myself. I was lucky enough to make documentaries about the creation of various fairy tales and attractions. Talk about special stories! I went to work for many charities through which I collected beautiful but also harrowing and vulnerable stories in many countries and received and learned an incredible amount.
Eventually, in addition to my work, I joined a 5 -year trainer and coaching program at Phoenix Training programs that focuses on the development of people and their stories. Why do people do things in life the way they do them? What are the conscious and unconscious motives? Because nothing fascinates me more than people and their stories. In our behavior, we are constantly telling our stories. About our great happiness, our longing and our deep lack. A rich training in which I learned a lot about myself and a lot about Systemic Work, Transactional Analysis and NLP. Methods that are also (in)visible in my work.
On my life path I met a beautiful and special life partner, Rolf, whom I married and with whom I have two beautiful sons, Kilian and Mayta. I can tell about them for hours. What great happiness. What a beautiful story!
I work from commitment, fun, humor and passion and you can captivate me endlessly with your story.
